The Scottish Arts Club in Edinburgh's Rutland Square hosts a series of five encounters with Scotland's greatest masters of prose and poetry. You will be presented with the illustrated life and work of James Boswell, Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott, Robert Louis Stevenson and Arthur Conan Doyle. One day of the series will be devoted to each: biography by Professor David Purdie, readings from their works by David Ingram and songs, either by them or about them, from Cameron Goodall (tenor). Pray, come, and enjoy. For individual dates see: www.scottishartsclub.co.uk/events
