Two puppets, Lucia and Scot, both love Flamenco dancing, but Scot just can’t find his flamenco rhythm. With the help of two beautiful dancers, Marta Medina and Aroa Paredes, flamenco guitarist Andrew Robinson and singer Inma Montero -whose gorgeous voice sends you straight to the rolling hills of Spain- the two young friends travel around Spain to help Scot become as good as his best friend Lucia.
Alba Flamenca is Scotland’s only dedicated flamenco dance studio and venue, and the mini-showcase of Lucia and Scot’s adventure is sure to inspire young audience members to try flamenco dancing. The performance was so enthusiastic it even got parent’s feet tapping. Although perhaps such sensual, seductive dancing was a little strange for an audience of young children.
Young audience members will really enjoy this show as it reaches into the audience and brings everyone out to find their own rhythm along with Scot, twirl some colourful lace shawls and sing flamenco songs. The journey around Spain also is a cultural education for everyone, providing a rich background for Spanish traditions and flamenco origins told in Pamela Anderson’s beautiful storytelling voice.
