Peak into this perfect postcard of a play, following the McLeavy family deep in mourning. Former carer to the recently deceased, Nurse McMahon (deeply religious but with a shady past) strives to keep the family together. Hal is torn between showing his respects at his mother's funeral, hiding a very large sum of money and dreaming of a brothel yet to exist. Inspector Truscott is determined to do his duty for King, country and the water board and Mr McLeavy is still very much in love with his roses.
