A note from us:
In recent weeks, weve been reflecting on whether continuing to host and promote club nights feels right, given the atrocities we continue to see in Gaza and elsewhere in the world. We know that many in our community, particularly those who are personally impacted by these events, will not want or feel able to engage in nightlife spaces during the current climate.
We also know how important queer nightlife spaces can be as a tool for community, for decompression and recentring, in particular during times of personal or collective crisis. For this reason, we have chosen to progress with this event, and with our efforts to raise money for Palestinian mutual aid group The Sameer Project.
LOOSE CHANGE was created not just to throw non-profit events to support causes we care about, but also to create safe spaces for queer people and their loved ones to come together and have fun, heal and meet new people. Our intent in proceeding with our next event is to be there for those who want or need us to be. For those who dont, we hope you understand why we have chosen to continue hosting our events at this time, and will be here for you if and whenever you need us in the future
If you would like to attend this event but do not have the funds, please email us on [email protected]
LOOSE CHANGE seeks to create safe and inclusive spaces for queer folks and
their allies.
We have a zero tolerance to bigotry or inappropriate behaviour at our events,
and will have individuals removed if they make guests or staff feel
uncomfortable or unsafe.
Please talk either to us, security or the bar team on the day (or after) if
you need to.
