When a child's choice is to be a suicide bomber or an invader's informant, his Afghan mother sends him away to save him. A child is a product to a smuggler, a migrant to a border guard, a refugee to an aid worker, and, with luck, an asylum seeker to a government. Gulwali's mother can only hope that the smugglers she pays to save her two boys, will honor their contract. Lightless is an adaptation of The Lightless Sky by Gulwalli Passarlay " his inspirational story of forgiveness, faith, love and risking his life to reach safety.
