Josh Howie has an interesting past to say the least, which he shares which us to great comedy effect. What with his Buddhist childhood, his decision to train as a Rabbi, a spell following the religion of the native Americans, and his re-birthing in a Jacuzzi with his naked mother, it's really no surprise that he turned out to be a comic, bringing us a great selection of clever one-liners - from word-play and puns to make you squirm, through more cerebral material on race, religion and identity.
He touches on some Holocaust jokes, and does some thought-provoking stuff on the Palestine/Israeli conflict, but nicely manages to keep the audience onside throughout this difficult material.
The not-entirely-unexpected circumcision jokes add to the overall mix, so for a knock-out Jewish comic with knobs on, go catch Josh Howie.
