Brazilian artist Jac Leirner presents her first solo exhibition in Scotland, bringing work from major collections together with new work made especially for Edinburgh audiences. Rising to prominence in the 1990s, Leirner has made an international career with works that use the same everyday materials obsessively over and over again, combining them into astonishingly beautiful sculptures that reveal the material poetry of the mundane. From rulers, spirit levels and other hardware store finds to cigarette papers, ashtrays and Sudoku, the ephemera of consumer culture is collected, ordered and made into art.
