Im addicted to you. Dont you know that youre toxic? (Ive got you) Under My Skin is a domestic drama which undoes itself through puppetry, lip-sync and revelry. This is just the story of two people who care about each other very much... I think. We're living in an intensely uncertain and frightening time with the impending doom of climate change and the way interpersonal relationships are under strain from a rapidly unravelling world. Everything around us seems to be decaying, but there are parts of us that never will. This play explores how we are inseparable from microplastics, how they are part of us whether we like it or not. It's reported that the average person eats, drinks and breathes between 78,000 and 211,000 microplastic particles every year, we can't escape them. Evidence of pollution can be found in our hair, skin and blood. And like a toxic relationship with a lover, friend, or family member, once we realise their hold on our lives, we find them everywhere. And we want to talk about that. This is a show for our fellow part-plastic people. Which is everyone.
