Island Voices – The Sigh of Body
  • Edinburgh Fringe

Taiwan's indigenous peoples have inhabited the island for 12,000 years, and seen many new cultures arrive and depart over the centuries. Challenged by the industrial encroachment of their ancient lands, the tribal peoples are at the forefront of Taiwan's environmental movement. Reconnecting to traditional culture, and fusing it with experimental modern dance, Tai Body Theatre seeks to re-establish a lost connection between body, heart and soul, and allow human instinct to thrive.
