Into the Deep follows a fishing family held back by poverty and inter-generational struggle. The play seeks to raise questions of familial toxic masculinity, and the ties and struggles of male mental health, still so rarely discussed. It is a play about how far loyalty extends in a cold, unempathetic microcosm of the patriarchal and working-class family.
