Where do you go when youre at rock bottom? In the Sh*t is an anti-coming-of-age stand-up special with hints of music and poetry. Performed by two of Barcelonas favorite comedians, Jamie Lerner and Mariah Girouard, who will take you through their sh*tty journeys into adulthood. With a dark sense of humor, they revisit childhood memories, discuss their dating lives (or lack thereof), and analyze their identities as public enemies of the state. This isnt your typical stand-up comedy show. There will be ukulele songs about death, poetry about cannibalism, and a story or two about literal poo. Both Jamie and Mariah were featured in Romanias Stand-Up Revolution television series in 2022. Mariah, who hails from Massachusetts, won Barcelonas 2023 Funniest FICer (the funniest comedian award) and opened for Seann Walsh in January 2023. Jamie is a musical comedian from New York City who was recently featured on the official Roast Battle League channel. The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
