A dynamic exhibition by highly acclaimed Canadian artist Derek Michael Besant. This exhibition explores the scientific resolution that the eye is a faulty mechanism, and the brain compensates for this by assembling data we observe to construct what we see. Besant has photographed and surveyed members of the Edinburgh Printmakers community and created a series of intimate images that allow the possibility of recognition, familiarity and identity by the audience. This data gathering has revealed a hidden narrative as a collective glimpse into a specific group of people that live in this city.
