Labour MP for Hayes and Harlington in West London since 1997. Shadow Chancellor 2015-2019. Elected to the Greater London Council (GLC) as the member of Hayes and Harlington in 1981. He became Chair of Finance, responsible for the GLCs multi-million pound budget. Born in Liverpool and raised in Norfolk. Prior to 1981, worked in the Trade Union movement and later as Chief Executive of the Association of London Government. In September 2015 he was appointed Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer under Jeremy Corbyns leadership.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
