Storyteller Elise Robertson embarks on a journey of discovery about Rachel Carson, iconic environmentalist, born twelve miles from her in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 60 years earlier. Elises own demons quickly hijack the story, interweaving her own coming-of-age with Rachels, as they struggle with their identities as artists, mothers, and truth-tellers. Conceived and staged in her tiny backyard studio using an eclectic mix of found props, greenscreen, stop motion, and multiple zoom screens, the result is a whimsical, unique storytelling experience: sweeping and intimate, funny and moving. Elise plays multiple characters in myriad settings without ever leaving her office chair.
