A beautiful, moving one-act play based on poetry created in a concentration camp by the Jewish children of Prague. A survivor, having lived through it all, teaching the children when there was nothing to teach with, helping to give hope when there was little reason for hope, creating a world of laughter, flowers and butterflies behind barbed wire, tells the true story of the children. There were no butterflies, but for the children, butterflies became a symbol of defiance, making it possible to live and play while waiting to be transported.
