Hymns Of A Sparrow a standard bank ovation award winner production from the 2020 Virtual National Arts Festival will be part of the Brighton fringe 2021. Was first staged at the Imbewu arts festival in 2019. It is set in a place called Ekuphileni.This production tells the story of Mr Mngadi who is constantly faced with his neighbours cattle eating his crops. the story is told by a young boy call Simlindile who further explains Mr Mngadi's journey as the matter of the cattle was later taken to the chief of Ekuphileni. Mr Mngadi is then faced with the greatest challenge he never thought possible, losing both his wife and son before his very eyes. In this production, Simlindile talks to the audience through Mr Mngadi's healing process.
