York's legendary comedy club makes a welcome return to the Great Yorkshire Fringe with four laughter-packed shows on Friday and Saturday nights featuring the cream of the UK's comedy circuit.

Fri 26 th & Sat 27 th July - Jonny Awsum, Lauren Pattinson & Hayley Ellis

Headlining the second weekend's shows is JONNY AWSUM who, after over a decade on the comedy circuit shot to fame and huge acclaim when he perfomed on Britain's Got Talent. His musical routines performed alongside Ant & Dec won a standing ovation from the theatre audience, a unanimous vote of approval from the judges and was seen by almost 20 million TV viewers on the show's Live Finals. His performances on the show have since been viewed almost 50 million times on YouTube.

Supporting Jonny is fast-rising comedy star, LAUREN PATTISON who exploded on to the comedy scene when she sold out her entire run at the Edinburgh Festival with her highly acclaimed debut show. Last year she performed at Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, New Zealand and Kilkenny International Comedy Festivals and her second Edinburgh Fringe show once again sold out its entire run, added extra shows and enjoyed an extended run at London's prestigious Soho Theatre. On TV Lauren has appeared in 'Comedy Central at the Comedy Store', 'Roast Battle' hosted by Jimmy Carr and 'Drunk History' as well as numerous Radio 4 appearances.

Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
