We used to give out free samples of cheese at Fortnum and Masons but werent allowed to have any ourselves. Phoebe Waller-Bridge came in one day, silently pointed at an entire wheel of parmesan and the manager got it for her. She sat on the floor right there and ate the whole thing, refusing to talk to anyone, and was sick from all the cheese. We handed in our notice that day. Doing a Phoebe and being ill all over the floor of Fortnum has been our dream ever since. This show is a stepping-stone on the path to doing so.A Sketch Too Far is an eclectic mix of stupidity, absurdity, joy and death. There are sketches about farmers. There are sketches about Nazis. There are sketches about how the aristocracy make podcasts. But one way or another, all of these sketches are about the British psyche - from the ridiculous to the banal to the downright horrid. Written by Liam Horrigan and Matthew Howell, A Sketch Too Far brings together their combined comedic experience of over 15 years.N.B. " We have never met Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and it is unknown whether she enjoys cheese in small or large quantities.
