For its Joyce dTheater ebut, the Hong Kong Ballet presents a trio of works by three choreographers, each a formidable voice in their respective countries. Fei Bo, resident choreographer of the National Ballet of China, contributes "A Room of Her Own," inspired by Virginia Woolf's similarly named feminist tract. Krzysztof Pastor, director of the National Polish Ballet, offers "In Light and Shadow," which nods to the paintings of Rembrandt and Vermeer. The Spanish choreographer Nacho Duato is represented by "Castrati," danced by nine men.
