Harem of No One - Season 3 GALA BASH
  • London Fringe

THIRD TIME IS THE CHARM ! It's Season 3, babe! Enough rest, let's get to business! Harem of No One is starting the new season with a BANG! You are all invited to our Gala Bash, get your best clothes and colors out and get ready to walk the red carpet with us. We want all of your summer gossips, heartbreaks and crushes, and we will dance it all off ! We will be doing things a bit different for this one: the night will be a full on party, with performances throughout the night popping up at unexpected times. Our host is our cabaret chameleon, Cazeleon , joined as MCs to her are two wonderful gems Darlink Dick and Tahini Molasses. Beyond Oz, G Spot, Hayriye Holivud a.k.a. Uran Apak and Laz Lightning will be gracing this Gala Bash with their performances. On the decks, we have a very special guest and a legendary trailblazer for representation of global majority in London's nightlife: DJ Ritu ! One of only 2 British Asian female DJs active since the 1980s, a member of the European World Music Charts Panel and London Music Board, she is the co-founder of the UKs longest-running South Asian clubnights - Kuch Kuch Nights (23 yrs) and Club Kali (28 yrs) AND more importantly she created the first ever Queer SWANA music club night in the UK, which was called Hoppa, way back in 2000. Hoppa ran for 6 wonderful years in Stoke Newington/Green Lanes and Camden. We are lucky to have her join us and excited to dance to some Hoppa vibes ! Support for DJ Ritu will be from Martha Barbra, preparing their new selections to open the night for our community and Toby Kind with his set of dance music from Turkey and beyond to carry us 'til the end. We are returning to take your breath away, babes !

Harem of No One is a queer and feminist collective of performers of Turkish, Kurdish, Cypriot and Southwest-Asian heritages but absolutely anyone is welcome and encouraged to join in and have fun with us.

There will be a limited number of tickets at the door sold for 15 by cash or card.

Send us a DM for "Low Income" ticket information.

The event will take place at the venue's ground floor hall. (1 stair down the entrance)
No entry guaranteed after midnight due to venue policy.

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
