Switching seamlessly between characters, Drake reveals himself to be an instinctively funny performer. His quick delivery and avidly expressive acting has the audience on the edge of their seats, completely convinced of the many uninhibitedly weird plot twists and turns. Word play is rife and intelligent, with hilarious sidebars to the audience throughout. The speedy pace is sometimes hard to keep up with but it’s also what makes this show so entertaining. Somehow it is wildly unpredictable but simultaneously it always makes perfect sense. The writing and use of multi media is superb, while the low-budget props are charmingly crap.
Goose is driven by Adam Drake’s infectious energy; he is an eccentric, intelligent performer, and truly one of a kind. This is a show full of crazy plots, accents and gags, keeping the audience on their toes with boundless energy and creativity. An unexpected, clever and raucous comedy that’s so much more than just another one-man show.
