Join Daniel for a Glass Of Sketch, where he will be delivering an informative talk on the serious art form that is sketch comedy. Utilising pre-recorded lines and audio to showcase a number of quick and vivid multi-character sketches, this one-person surreal sketch comedy show takes audiences on a unique tasting tour of different sketch genres. Attempting to record the show for vinyl release (the most classic, serious type of recording), Daniel attempts to show audiences that " in contrast to the frivolity of previous shows " sketch is actually a unique and serious art form that he now treats with respect. As the show goes on, the line between what counts as silly, serious, or just downright surreal, becomes more and more blurred and Daniel begins to question his own hypothesis, leaving the talk (and recording session) in jeopardy. The show is a quick, light hour of funny, slapstick sketches. It is an uplifting, silly show, which celebrates the power of the imagination, and features lots of high-energy character sketches, and relatable scenarios. Daniel J. Willis is a comedy writer and performer. He is one sixth of the sketch troupe Free Mondays, as well as a former writer for Release The Clowns podcast, and regular on the London comedy circuit.
