Junior, a queer sex worker in Hastings is suffering from PTSD. His life plunged into further turmoil during a booking with a new client and his father, Senior returns home. Why has his father returned? Why does he want his son? Why now? From debuting writer and performer Cameron Raasdal-Munro and Director DR Rikki Beadle-Blair MBE, Gangsta Baby explores the experience of being shunned by a parent for being LGBTQIA+ This play explores parental incarceration, how the loss and shame affect families and children. How being born into the criminal class affects your worldview and perception of self. How addiction manifests in queer and working class communities. Gangsta Baby explores the Hastings high unemployment, crime, and suicide rate., commenting on twelve years of austerity, ocean pollution and how the towns neglect has deeply affected the people. Latecomers may not be admitted. Please arrive in good time for the start. Under 18s are not permitted into the theatre for this performance. No re-admittance once the performance has commenced.
