  • London Fringe

IWD 2025

Our next party back at the Mothership Dalston Superstore on Sat 8th March, which happens to fall on International Womens Day 2025, but as a party who celebrates marginilised genders every damn day of the year, who needs just one day to celebrate! We praise the Dyk3s, Dolls, T-boys, Enbys, Lezzer$, gals, gays, thems and theys, so come join us in celebrating all our fave genders (and remember feminism is intersectional, trans women are women, trans men are men protect trans lives! And FREE PALESTINE)

Down in the basement, we have NYC queer royalty, the KWEEN of Acid and Jackin House Lauren Flax, the last time Lauren played for us was 2017 so its a real rare treat to have her return to headline and close out our basement again. On Warm-up duties we have Joyride resident, Claude Knight a queer, multi-genre DJ whose sets bring bass, attitude and energy. Then of course sandwiched in between, our beloved resident Michelle Manetti, expect Acid, Jackin, Bassy, booty-shakin, HI-NRG bangers, hands-in-the-air fist-pumpers, housey, trancey, techno treats.

Up top in the bar warming things up is regular party-starter Thempress, followed by mother of Plastyk, Neurotica, Bodyswap and Dolls vs Twinks the iconic Karlie Marx PLUS our resident duo of Fraicheness Darren & Linzi on closing duties. Expect twisted pop, trash-tastic faves, and Cunty Slut-Pop bangers.

For gogo duties, we have Femmme Fraiche firecracker, Than The Freak and along with the superbabe Mairi Houston, making her FF gogo debut - Expect, ass-shakin sexy, stupendous bar-top antics.

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
