Celebrating the 15th year of its innovative Ceilidh Trail project, Fis Rois has commissioned accordionist and former Ceilidh Trail participant, John Somerville (Treacherous Orchestra) to write a piece of new music inspired by the emigration of people from the Highlands around the world. The piece has already been performed at the National Celtic Festival in Australia and tonight it will be performed by some of Scotland's best young traditional musicians. As well as the new commission, be prepared to enjoy traditional airs, Gaelic songs and rousing jigs and reels.
