The Tudors and the Stewarts enjoyed a colourful and controversial past, occasionally solicitous but more often a battle of wills involving courtship and conquest. This new adaptation, full of vim and vinegar, follows the greatest Queens of the Elizabethan Age. Performed by a thirteen-member female ensemble, Fair Cruelty draws its title from Shakespeares Twelfth Night, a play that mirrored life at court. Similarly, this devised piece is a spirited, moving and, at times, absurd look at the lives of royaltys most extraordinary women, a show that is certain to delight historical buffs and theatre lovers of all ages!
