Fabrizio Cassol and Alain Platel
  • West End

Regular collaborators Fabrizio Cassol and Alain Platel join forces once again in a work inspired by Mozart's final and unfinished work.

With 14 musicians from across Europe and Africa, composer and musical director Cassol reconstructs the Requiem utilising diverse musical influences from popular African music to jazz and opera.

Using the imagery that Mozart's music conjures up, from the requiem mass to the mass grave into which Mozart himself was dumped, trailblazing director of les ballets de la B, Alain Platel, builds a visual world of death and ritual for the musicians and dancers to inhabit.
