The music of great halls, cathedrals and servants quarters is brought to life by the group who have been delighting Fringe audiences since 1973. A dozen musicians play a huge range of period instruments including shawms, cornetts, sackbuts, nakers, crumhorns, viols, fiddles, recorders, bells, bagpipes, rackets and a serpent. The show is entertainingly introduced by Murray Campbell, and is a truly joyous experience for all ages. Children are especially welcome. Winners of ThreeWeeks Editors Award 2017. 'Theyre eccentric, theyre antiquated and long may they party like its 1499' (ThreeWeeks, 2012). www.edinburghrenaissanceband.com
