Following last year's enthusiastic reception, husband and wife duo Margaret Wakeford and Simon Coverdale look forward to presenting this year's programme at St Andrews and St Georges West. They include the congenial Petite Suite by Debussy and offer something less familiar from Schubert; the buffa-esque Variations on Hrold's opera Marie. In contrast, composed at a turbulent time, is Hindemith's chilling Sonata (1938) which has a sense of foreboding. Providing lavish material for a newly-transcribed duet version is an organ work, the third of 3 Paraphrases on Gregorian chants by Jean Langlais.
