Four lonely souls in an economically depressed mining town, left without social net and support, share dreams and regrets with a silent witness, hoping to regain their pride. Timely and confronting issues of class and migration, Earthbound, by Quebecois playwright Carole Frchette, narrates with dark humour a tragedy for ordinary folk. Returning to Brighton Fringe after presenting Medea (2018), Wretched Strangers is a London-based theatre company of professionals who hail from mainland Europe and give an accented voice to foreigners living in the UK. A company to watch out for (The Sampler).
