The debut play from the Uncle Ian Theatre Company looks at a nation caught in the grip of austerity during 10 years of Conservative rule. Drivers is an episodic narrative based on the true stories of four individuals - each of whom struggle to survive in a society under attack by cuts to public services. Incorporating videography and live performance, this reflective and harrowing play shines a spotlight on the issues of universal credit, food banks and zero hour contract workers.
