SketchSesh is the experimental life drawing community founded in 2016 by artists James Davison and Simon Gray in the basement of East London's queer pub, The Glory.

Since its inception, SketchSesh has collaborated with major fashion brands (Versace, JW Anderson, The British Fashion Council) and art institutions (The National Gallery, The National Theatre), delivering elevated life drawing sessions and fashion/art-based workshops that celebrate creativity and queerness.

For this life drawing session we return to our first home, The Glory in celebration of the upcoming fashions this sesh is dedicated to iconic VOGUE editor, Anna Wintour!

East-London legend, the absolute iconic A Man To Pet will be our muse for the afternoon so expect some breathtaking poses, spectacular garments and a ferocious tongue for this afternoon of mind-blowing creativity, fashion and art.

MODEL & MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED!

This session will include demonstrations from James Davison on how to draw the human forms to convey drama and fashion.

Please see below for a rough structure of the session:

Please arrive early before the session starts to grab a drink from the bar and to get your materials for the class

3:00 - 3:45pm During the first half of the session we will focus on 10/15 minute poses.3:45 - 4:00 pm A fifteen minute interval to socialise and to grab a drink from the bar4:00 - 4:45pm During the second half of the session we will build upon the skills from the first half by focusing on longer poses.4:45pm- 5:00pm A chance to have a look at other sketches around the room and to chat to other artists in a mini art exhibition.
