Disrupted Rhythms is a collaborative multimedia project suited to an era of disrupted rhythms, economic crises, pandemics, social upheavals and global political uncertainty. Disrupted Rhythmsis a poetic phenomenological investigation into this sense of disruption. Since 2020, a group of musicians, dancers, essayists, filmmakers, fine artists and photographers began a collaborative venture to explore the nature of rhythms, and their disruption, by creating a series of dance inspired happenings, and documenting them via film, photography and essays. Tonight, they will be bringing all aspects of this project together: Film, photography, live performance, and a live improvised score orchestrated by Nick Hudson (The Academy of Sun). Expect a multisensory, multimedia event involving live dancing, live drawing, live violin, and projected film. Directed and produced by Bradley Tuck (Exploding Appendix)Disrupted Rhythms is an Exploding Appendix project (www.explodingappendix.com). Exploding Appendix is a community based avant-garde art group based in Brighton who meet every three weeks on a Tuesday at the Southern Belle.
