Crime
  • London Fringe

'You tell me, is there some society you know of that doesn't run on greed? What is greed? Listen. A reformed free market economy never promised to banish crime. We have no responsibility over the maniacs, the psychopaths and the murderers out there on the streets.'

Welfare is cut. The unemployed man steals. The single mother sells her child. The student murders the pawnbroker. Which is the crime: the desperate acts of the destitute or the capitalist policies which disregard those who cannot keep up in the race? CRIME is a new play in the epic form of seven scenes and four songs.

Written and directed by Nico Vaccari, BZN Theatre's all male production exposes the ever-growing gap between the interests of the leaders and the needs of the people.
