Blind Liverpudlian stand-up Chris McCaulsland gets off to a good start with a gag about the portacabin hut that we're sitting in at the Pleasance Courtyard. Whilst there are occasional references to his blindness, there's very little in the way of Braille or guide-dog gags tonight's show is more about him trying to understand his girlfriend's description of him as an emotional retard an argument triggered after he ate the last chunky Kit-Kat in their house. He has some good lines about politically correct language, and a nice skit about goldfish, but the show flagged slightly in the middle. He retrieved the situation at the end with some great call-backs to earlier gags, but the closing video seemed a bit misplaced and we left the show on a bit of a comedy dip, which was a shame as there were several high points throughout the show.
