Choral Evensong at St Vincent's
  • Edinburgh Fringe

A traditional service of Choral Evensong, using the 1929 Scottish Episcopal Church liturgy, with a guest choir and congregational hymn singing. Organ voluntaries at start and end. St Vincent's is a fascinating Gothic Victorian Church of 1856 in the Northern New Town. Between 1971 and 1996 it was also the home of the Commandery of Lochore of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus. Their impressive modern European armorial embellishments adorn the interior. Nowadays it is a church within the diocese of Edinburgh in the Anglican Communion. Canon Allan Maclean is the rector.
