The two Early Romantic masters, Chopin and Schumann, produced wonderful masterpieces for the piano. Chopin's Bb minor sonata and a selection from Schumann's Noveletten form an arresting selection of their music. Both composers create different musical worlds during a piece and jump quickly from one to the next, much as one would hear listening to Chopins Preludes, but within one movement. Schumanns music is full of it and much of Chopin too. The audience is kept on the edge of their seat. Included in the programme are two pieces from the suite Iberia by Albeniz.
