This cross-disciplinary 32-minute performance work features opera, violin, poetry and contemporary dance and is presented by the South Chicago Dance Theatre and choreographer Kia S. Smith. 'Smiths use of a complete range of movement and a dazzling array of body positions makes for technically challenging and visually exciting dance. The piece does not tell a story as much as it expresses sentiments and feelings that develop and slowly transform into complementary, sometimes surprisingly unexpected, moods. Smith has created yearning, striving, frustration, despair, joy, and much more.' (Hyde Park Herald)
