In this family-friendly event, the Bamberger Symphoniker and their Chief Conductor Jakub Hra, narrator Gerard McBurney and guest artists including actors and a gospel singer explore Dvoks Ninth Symphony, From the New World. Discover how the composer felt inspired by Henry Wadsworth Longfellows epic poem The Song of Hiawatha, as well as Native American music and the songs and dances of his homeland to create one of the first truly multicultural symphonies.
Beyond the Score has plenty to offer classical aficionados and newcomers alike.
The Bamberger Symphoniker Residency is supported by James and Morag Anderson with additional support from Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany
