People attending the workshop will have the option to either meditate on chairs or on the floor on cushions. Some instruction on posture will be given. The main practice we teach involves focusing on the breath to help develop concentration and general awareness of body and mind. We will also make suggestions to encourage healthy emotions such as kindness and contentment. The participants should feel some immediate benefits of calmness, clarity and a more confident perspective and should also be able to practice these simple methods by themselves in the future.
