A stellar jazz sextet performs a musical tribute to the jazz sound of South Africa and pianist Abdullah Ibrahim (Dollar Brand). Experience a joyous celebration of this unique jazz style and musical voice with performances of his classic standards, plus interpretations and new arrangements. The band is fronted by Mark Bassey (trombone) and Alex Bondonno (saxophone) and Jack Kendon (trumpet) who will lead the audience through a story of magical music: Cape Town, apartheid, struggles and eventual musical successes. This all-star band re-ignites the magic of one of jazzs greatest and most unique musicians. Hardened jazz fan or not, this evening will entertain and delight.The Brighton Jazz Mafia collective return for their fifth Fringe show in this small band format after sell-out shows at all their previous festival performances.

The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
