Ignored for centuries by a misogynistic patriarchy, it is now time to reclaim their place. Showcasing works by 26 female classical composers from all walks of life. They might have been Queer, Black, disabled, Jewish, migrants, wives, mothers, spinsters, carers, freelancers, employees, teachers, performers, aristocrats, commoners, European, American, young or old; but they have one thing in common: all were ignored, usurped and push out of the musical canon by men.This one-song-per-composer recital introduces a wide variety of works from from 16th to 21st century.
