  • UK Regional & Tours

We're a bit of the way into 2023 and we're still alive so far, so that's good. Something else that's good - very bloody good actually - is our next live show!!

Join us at Gullivers on February 13th for a stacked show, featuring:

Headline act
Jonathan Mayor
Dress like a butterfly and sting like a scorpion!" as Mohammed Ali never said about Jonathan Mayor - the forgotten Bollywood love-child of Hinge and Bracket, Kenneth Williams and Eddie Izzard.

Jonathan Mayor is developing into a huge, huge cult. He is one of the finest comperes in the country, capable of settling even the rowdiest crowds with savage wit and a high octane stage presence. When Jonathan arrives, its showtime, engaging the audience both on and off-stage. He is one of the few acts who will not only perform when the stage lights are on, but also wander among the crowd, chatting and charming - truly "hosting" the night. It is this that has made him the most requested compere by audiences at many venues - including as a resident compere at Manchester's Frog and Bucket, where the list has included Johnny Vegas, Peter Kay, Dave Spikey and Steve Coogan. It also explains the huge variety of work he is asked to do across the country, including burlesque shows, cabaret nights, Pride festivals, biker festivals, corporate occasions, street theatre, gourmet nights at some of Manchester's top restaurants, balls, weddings, civil partnerships, birthday parties and poetry nights.

As a headline act, Jonathan sets the stage alight with his razor sharp audience banter and stunning charisma. But don't be fooled by the glitter and glamour, underneath lies an intelligent line of socio-political humour, from a unique and fascinating perspective, He will reduce any audience to hysterics whether they are erudite, worthy, Radio 4 listeners or the drunkest Friday night crowd.

"Jonathan Mayor is a superb all round entertainer. Very funny, very charming and very professional. A Pleasure to deal with." - Lucy Raffery, Owl Event Management

"Jonathan has hosted Oldham Pride events with his trademark elegance and panache. With Jonathans involvement Oldham Pride has grown year-on-year and we look forward to continuing to work with Jonathan on many health events in the future. - Colin Avery - Oldham Community Health Services

A self-obsessed glittery queen with a larger than life personality who arrives on stage in a bamboozling mix of innuendo" - Manchester Evening News

"An incredible presence on the stage. Mesmerising to watch and an extremely articulate improviser. Fantastic." - XS Malarkey

with host
Jonny Collins
Jonny Collins is an aggressively inclusive Non-Binary comedian, Jonny pulls no punches yet makes everyone feel welcome and represented in their thought provoking, and well constructed deconstructions of gender, sexuality and politics. With radical leftist ideals and a fast and furious delivery style, Jonny Collins is a favourite of socialist, anarchists, feminists (of the trans inclusive variety), and queer activists alike.

Jonny is a force of nature on stage. A whirlwind of hilarity with a unique viewpoint, they energy and passion personified. XS Malarkey

"Jonny Collins is deceptively rapid-fire, with a gag rate that would shame most one-line merchants. They can bring a simmer to a boil with ease, and make a huge mess of your kitchen." James Ross (Quantum Leopard)

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.
