Blizzard Comedy LIVE, featuring David Stanier
  • UK Regional & Tours

We are returning to Gullivers on Monday 10th June for another line-up of awesome comedians to bring a bit of joy to a dreary world suffering under late stage capitalism.

Come along and see...

David Stanier
David Stanier is a stand-up comedian, writer, and comic actor. Fun and daft, enthusiastic and unconventional, David always tries his best!
As well as having performed his stand-up shows David Staniers Silly Party and Mr. Trousers, he also has a catalogue of online videos on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, including 2 online specials, sketches, and more.
David is also in the improvised murder mystery and comedy show, Murder Inc. and has a video game podcast called Davideogames, with new video content coming soon.
Previously a BBC New Comedy Award Heat and Hillarity Bites New Act of the Year award winner.

Here's what everybody has been saying about him all around town...
"Stanier has a knowingness behind the daftness...lovely, feelgood stuff" - Chortle
An earnestly giddy comic with an impressive arsenal of jokes. Staniers material is beautifully, banally silly - Gigglebeats
"Stanier cuts an immediate contrast to most of his fellows an intrinsically silly human being" - The Skinny
"Stanier is a master of the misleading punchline, and by far the most fun performer currently on the North West scene" -
Manchester Wire

"Darkly funny" - Funny Women
"Absolutely hilarious" - Broadway Baby

Mia Lewis
Mia Lewis is an up-and-coming standup who delivers a blend of offbeat routines and witty one-liners. She was shortlisted for the Funny Women Stage Award 2023.

Mia is an absolute treat to watch - one of the most exciting new acts about. - Anna Thomas

Charismatic, fun and one to watch. - Vix Leyton

and Cameron Sinclair Harris
Cameron Sinclair Harris (they/she) is a queer, working-class performer/writer/comedian/theatre-maker/full time idiot from Nottingham, currently based and causing havoc in South London. A graduate of the Soho Theatre's Comedy Labs Plus development programme, they adore whimsy, silliness and chaotic serenity, creating universes out of shoe-string budgets and using outlandish set-pieces to comment on intimate subject matter. They are currently working on their debut solo show PLANETS!!!, a cosmic character comedy odyssey in which they play all eight planets in the solar system. For fans of existential cabaret, cosmic chicanery, tinfoil, funny little robots and breathing.

A unique viewpoint, good stage presence, a touch of surrealism and a bit of panache- Notts Comedy Review
Im not saying that trans people are inherently the funniest people, but Cameron is certainly good evidence to support that theory.- Blizzard Comedy

with host Jonny Collins
Jonny Collins is an aggressively inclusive Non-Binary comedian, Jonny pulls no punches yet makes everyone feel welcome and represented in their thought provoking, and well constructed deconstructions of gender, sexuality and politics. With radical leftist ideals and a fast and furious delivery style, Jonny Collins is a favourite of socialists, anarchists, feminists (of the trans inclusive variety), and queer activists alike.
Jonny is a force of nature on stage. A whirlwind of hilarity with a unique viewpoint, they energy and passion personified. XS Malarkey
"Jonny Collins is deceptively rapid-fire, with a gag rate that would shame most one-line merchants. They can bring a simmer to a boil with ease, and make a huge mess of your kitchen." James Ross (Quantum Leopard)

As always, this show is free to book, with a pay-what-you-want option on the door by either cash or card.

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
