Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward
  • Brighton Fringe

One of Cowards greatest plays, 'Blithe Spirit' is the story of socialite and novelist Charles, who invites an eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, to his house to conduct a sance, hoping to gather material for his next book. The scheme backfires when he is haunted by the ghost of his annoying and temperamental first wife, Elvira, who makes continual attempts to disrupt his marriage to his second wife, Ruth (who cannot see or hear the ghost), with destructive consequences!
