BiCamp UK's Big Bi Quiz Fundraiser
  • UK Regional & Tours

Fancy yourself a bit of a quizzer? Want to support a good cause? BiCamp UK is hosting its first ever Big Bi Quiz Its a difficult time for funding right now, especially for arts, heritage, and community projects. Many of our regular funders have closed down, or arent actively awarding grants at present. So were doing some extra fundraising!

Expect six rounds of fun, including a picture round, and an opportunity to show off your knowledge of queer history. You dont have to be a bicamper, or even bi, to get involved. Everyone is welcome, so tell your friends, tell your family, and tell your polycule The more the merrier! All funds raised will go towards running BiCamp 2024, and making a safe space for bisexual+ people and their loved ones. What better way to show your allyship and support?

The quiz will be held entirely online, so you dont have to be local to join in- all you need is access to zoom and to download the Crafty Quiz app. You'll receive a zoom link once you've bought your ticket, and can find the Crafty Quiz app on the app store on your phone, please download this before the event. Here are the direct links, to save you searching:

Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clr.craftyquiz

Apple store: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/crafty-quiz/id1179398211

There will be breakout rooms for socialising opportunities, and expect to be entertained by our wonderful MC between rounds. Now you might be asking yourself- what do I get (besides a sense of community and the opportunity to help contribute to making our wonderful space happen this year) if I take part? Good question! No quiz would be complete without prizes, and boy do we have some great ones up for grabs, from free BiCamp tickets to exciting BiCamp merch. Not to mention bragging rights, and a fancy little certificate for the winners . So come along, take part, have fun and help us make BiCamp 2024 happen.

Ticket costs are 5 per device, and 4.50 of that goes straight to BiCamp. The app doesn't allow for teams, but if there is more than one of you who would like to play on the same device, you're more than welcome to. We'd ask that if you do this, you consider donating a little extra if you can, but if you can't, that's fine too! The money will be used to make sure that BiCamp can be as wonderful as possible. If you'd like to, and are able to, we'll also be accepting donations towards the event. You can do that by either adding a donation here on outsavvy, or via our direct donation links which we will share on the day. See you then!

Since you’re here…

… we have a small favour to ask. We don't want your money to support a hack's bar bill at Abattoir, but if you have a pound or two spare, we really encourage you to support a good cause. If this review has either helped you discover a gem or avoid a turkey, consider doing some good that will really make a difference.

You can donate to the charity of your choice, but if you're looking for inspiration, there are three charities we really like.

Mama Biashara
Kate Copstick’s charity, Mama Biashara, works with the poorest and most marginalised people in Kenya. They give grants to set up small, sustainable businesses that bring financial independence and security. That five quid you spend on a large glass of House White? They can save someone’s life with that. And the money for a pair of Air Jordans? Will take four women and their fifteen children away from a man who is raping them and into a new life with a moneymaking business for Mum and happiness for the kids.

Theatre MAD
The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
