BIAF presents To Be Human

Monthly pop ups from the Brighton International Animation Festival showcasing a variety of animation programmes, come down and catch up on any festival programmes you may have missed! This month its To Be Human which showcases films that explore the human condition. Living with Alzheimers, child soldiers, body image and mens knitting groups are just some of the topics explored in this collection of films from countries including Australia, Egypt through to UK. The programme will be dedicated to Emma Calder whose film Beware of Trains is included in the programme and won Best UK Film in 2023.

Tickets are pay what you can and all proceeds go towards cancer research in memory of Emma. Upstairs at Presuming Eds, doors open 7pm, films start 7.30pm. Come downstairs and have a drink and chat about the films afterwards.

The Make A Difference Trust fights HIV & AIDS one stage at a time. Their UK and International grant-making strategy is based on five criteria that raise awareness, educate, and provide care and support for the most vulnerable in society. A host of fundraising events, including Bucket Collections, Late Night Cabarets, West End Eurovision, West End Bares and A West End Christmas continue to raise funds for projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa.
