Based on true events, Besa, the unwritten code of honour to assist those in need, looks at how Albanians in WW2 saved numerous Jewish lives under the noses of the Germans. It centres on the lives of two families that become linked through the code and how, if at all, love can blossom amidst the ruins of the war. Belief, family and honour become entangled and the play highlights how migration is not a luxury but a necessity.
