Snare weaves Alexander's grotesque persona of a Buddy Rich/J.K. Simmons-esque egomaniacal bandleader with a gripping narrative arc of lost love. With the audience utilised as hired session musicians, Snare is set against the backdrop of a recording studio, just one hour before the UK's most famous (and famously demanding) musicians must finish the recording of his 'difficult second album'. Cue a gag heavy, artist meltdown. Frustrated by his own shortcomings, this neurotic taskmaster elects to recount his increasingly dark, dangerous but bitingly funny tale of how he came to be, lamenting on his affair with his college drum teacher and some of his more 'extra curricular' lessons. Combining gifted and innovative storytelling, audience interaction and live drumming in a manner seldom seen in a narrative comedy show.
"A supreme talent, quite simply the funniest show I've seen at the Fringe'
