Alan Bennett's A Visit from Miss Prothero
  • Edinburgh Fringe

An Alan Bennett one act originally written for TV in the late 1970s. It transfers brilliantly to the stage and shows the humour and pathos of Britain's best-loved playwright. Arthur Dodsworth's serene retirement is severely jolted by a visit from his malevolent former secretary. She relishes informing him of the changes brought in by the new boss.
